As part of its mission to build a more inclusive and compassionate society, EBC Financial Group (EBC) extended a helping hand to the Foundation for Slum Child Care (Baan Som Wai) in Bangkok’s Klong Toey community on June 28, 2025. The donation drive included essential supplies and nutritious meals for children, underscoring EBC’s long-standing commitment to creating positive, lasting change for underprivileged communities.
Home to an estimated 1.5 million people—almost 30% of Bangkok’s population—Klong Toey is the city’s largest informal settlement. Many residents face daily challenges ranging from poverty and social instability to substance abuse. EBC’s outreach aimed to ease some of these burdens while supporting children during their most formative years.
Standing Together for a Stronger Social Foundation
This initiative is part of EBC’s broader corporate social responsibility program dedicated to uplifting vulnerable groups and sharing hope. The Thailand team united to deliver a range of critical supplies—including eggs, fresh fruit, ATK test kits, seasonings, soy sauce, tissue paper, sanitizer, and funds to sponsor dinner for over 55 children aged 3 months to 5 years. These contributions help ensure the children receive the nutrition, hygiene, and care essential for healthy development.

Arisa Wongcharoenyong, Head Caregiver at the Infant Care Center, expressed heartfelt appreciation to EBC for its generosity, noting the donations would make a meaningful impact on the daily lives of the children and staff. She also celebrated the Foundation’s 44th anniversary, observed on June 22, 2025—a milestone that reflects decades of dedication to the community.
